In Mexican soccer, Sven Goran Erickson announces the roster for the Mexico vs Sweden friendly which will take place on January, 28th 2009 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California. The roster consists of players who are playing in the Mexican First Division. All the European based Mexican internationals were not called for the game being allowed to focus on their clubs.
Parvel Pardo, Matías Vicente Vuoso, and Carlos Ochoa are some of the popular players that were included on the roster. In an article that I wrote several days ago, I suggested that Carlos Ochoa should receive an opportunity to play in the friendly which could lead to a call-up for the U.S. qualifier. His performance against Cruz Azul was impressive and will be looking to impress his Swedish born national coach to receive further consideration for upcoming qualifiers.
What do you think of the roster? Is your favorite player listed? Who would you start? Who will Sven start against the Swedes?
