A pushing match ensued between both player and coach. Both individuals were ejected, but the Panamanian midfielder delayed the game almost 15 minutes, refusing to leave the field in fear of being struck with flying objects from Mexican fans.

An interesting development could emerge from Mexico's side as Coach Aguirre could receive an additional suspension that could carry over to the US/Mexico Qualifier. If this were to take place, El Tri would experience a disadvantage, despite playing in the fortress that they call Azteca. It is possible that Mexican Coach could receive penalty which could be served during the Gold Cup. But, an early exit in the knockout stages could leave Javier Aguirre suspended for the August 12th qualifier. Let's see what happens in the next few weeks.
